At the forefront of access control products SelectDial Monitor Module has been specifically designed to initiate a timed period call to an external telephone number via a GSM modem. This call will hold a ‘Pay as you Talk' modem number open and operational with out continues site visits. The Monitor Module is so designed that it will dial out every 30 days to ensure that the line is maintained well within the service provider's conditions of sale.

The time settings on the Monitor Module are such that after a 30 day period the Monitor Module will actively dial out 20 times on a default number. If it fails for any reason, it will dial out again for a further 20 times on the second default number (the first default number can, if specified, be changed to a specific number by the manufacturer). In the event of no connection after 40 dial outs, the Monitor Module will revert back to the previous day and start the dialling routine again.

The design parameters are such that the Monitor Module saves an engineer visiting a site every 90 days to remove the SIM card from a GSM modem, make a call using the SIM card in a mobile and then replace the SIM card back into the GSM modem.
